Wikipedia page of the day. Leroy Harvest Smith, the person who took Michael Jordan’s spot on his highschool basketball team. Jordan credits that event as motivating him into becoming the player he ended up as. Turns out Leroy is no slouch. He played college/pro basketball and is now a high level exec at NBC. In an interview I saw with Jordan yesterday he said they still speak frequently.
